As they say, you can’t stop progress.
It’s again been a while since I’ve posted. In the last couple weeks, I’ve gone from unemployed and an unpaid intern who spends most of her time as home nursing a cold to a freelance designer, part time employee and unpaid intern having multiple adventures a week.
Really, things have been moving so fast. And yet slow. Maybe one day I’ll get used to that feeling. I start my new job on Thursday morning, I’m spending Thanksgiving with my New England family next week and then it’s just a few weeks until I’m home in California to have a traditional wet Christmas. Seriously, if it doesn’t rain the week of Christmas, I’ll be a little upset.
In the meantime, I’ve been drawing a lot, watching a lot of Torchwood, reading Dune and drinking a lot of tea. At this point, I just can’t wait to have income so I can buy some little things, both for people for Christmas and things I want.
Sorry that this is so cursory, but there’s no big thoughts on my mind tonight. I’m in the mood for celebration and welcoming in the new and the return of the familiar. I’m really excited about the up coming weeks in my life. I hope it shows.
